Events
The Palms Seattle meet once a month at a north Seattle restaurant for dinner and conversation. This is a casual, no-pressure event, and new members are very much welcome.
Other dinner dates for 2010 are: October 9th and November 14th.
We also host parties every few months, introductory events, and the Ladies' Lunch.
The Ladies' Lunch is a great way for ladies new to spanking, or just to The Palms, to get acquainted with some of the other ladies in the group. We have coffee and munchies and lots of girl talk - answering questions, addressing concerns, and sharing stories. Girls, if you're nervous about attending a dinner, consider this event; it's fun, it's informal, and when you do attend a dinner you'll already have some friends to sit with! Email augustina for info and directions. Great news! We have created a new event, ThePalms101. This is an introduction to the culture of ThePalmsSeattle (no eye-rolling, please!) for people new to spanking, new to spanking parties, or just new to the area.
If you are a guy with lots of interest but not much experience, this is the event for you. We'll help familiarize you with techniques and implements, and address the all-important issues of how to ask ladies to play and what to do - and not do - after they accept.
We go over the rules for parties and the reasoning behind them. We started out several years ago with very few rules, and soon found ourselves spending a lot of time handling the fallout from situations that could have been prevented. Some people just don't do their own thinking, so now we have party rules.
We talk about the boundaries for play at our events. For couples, we'll address any special issues or concerns in this area; the way people in a committed relationship normally play with each other may need to be modified when playing at our parties, and with other members of ThePalms.
The first presentation of ThePalms101 followed the Ladies' Lunch on August 2nd. About a dozen ladies attended the Lunch and then stayed around for the return of the gentlemen and the second event.
